さて、夏の間は寮に住んでいてもご飯は出してくれません。つまり！！自炊せんとあかんのです。父と祖父に一年間毎日と料理をしてきた腕は鈍っておらず、毎日楽しく料理をしとります。

ルームメイトは彼女と一緒にいちゃいちゃ（イチャイチャか？）するんが忙しく、僕が奴と一緒に料理をすることはなかなかありません。（一人で美味いもん食ってやるぜ。）

今夏の毎週の食費は３０ドル。それを越さないように買い物するんも結構楽しくて、２２ドルもあれば必要な物は今の所買えています。

鳥もも肉を買って、一つ一つラップにくるんで、ジップロックに入れて冷凍すれば、一週間分ちゃんと持ちます。最近は毎日一時間くらい、インターネットでレシピを探すのにハマってしまい、作りたいものがいっぱい。でも、揚げ物は出来んのよなぁー。

好き嫌いのあまりない僕（おばちゃん、ありがとう）には、アメリカで手に入る食品は何でも食べれるんやけど、やっぱり日本で食べてたもんを見るとうれしくなります。

こっちでも野菜であれば日本でも食べてた懐かしい味を再現できるもんがいくらかあります。その中でも、僕が最近ハマってるんが、こちら！！

そう、オクラです。ちゃんと、Okuraって書いて売ってます。少しお湯に通して、スパパパパーンと包丁で切って、エンジェルヘアースパゲッティーに絡ませれば、もう完璧。

せめて、お皿に盛ってね、って言われそう。お皿を洗うんは面倒なんさ。

近くのスーパーでポン酢も売っていたので、ポン酢をかければ、さらに美味しい。スパゲッティーをちょっとだけ柔らかくなるま茹でると、まるで冷やし中華を食べてるみたいです。んー幸せ。

During the summer break, we don't get fed at the cafeteria, so we must cook ourselves or get some already-made food or frozen food. I am still as skillful (yea, just let me call myself so) as I was during the year I spent taking care of my dad and grandpa. It's fun to cook every day.

My roommate has been glued to his girlfriend all day long all week long, so he and I rarely cook together or eat together. [Oh I will just eat great food by myself.]

My budget for food this summer is $30. So far, the highest I spent is $22, so I've been doing well with money (Hurray!).

I like chicken thighs. Every time I buy them, I wrap them one by one, put them in a ziplock bag, and keep them in the freezer so that I can use them for something whenever I want. Lately, I've been spending at least an hour every day searching cooking recipes. There are so many recipes that I want to try, but I can't cook some of them in the dorm--especially frying.

Since I am not really a picky eater, I can eat almost anything I see at a supermarket. But it's always good see something that I used to enjoy in Japan as well.

There are some vegetables with which you can cook Japanese food. The one I have been using a lot lately is okura.

It's so easy to cook. You just put them in boiling water for a bit, slices them, and put some sauce on them. I love eating them with angel hair spaghetti.
