I made my facebook account last summer, but I hadn't logged onto it since last autumn.
Facebook requires us to submit our REAL name, and it's sometimes quite embarrasing to me.
Here I write in my diary in English just occasionary, but to tell the truth I can post my entries just occasionary because...
My real name in kanji is here and it makes me too nervous to write my entries freely:-(
I'm too much used to writing in online diaries with my nickname.
With my real name, I have so many things in my life which should be kept confidential.
マーチ 青空と太陽 |Blue Sky and Sunshine September 1, 2009
This is my older daughter's favorite windband tune.
She says she would have joind the junior high school band if she had known this tune.
It's a little late though, but I feel that it gives her energy anyway.
She's willing to attend school, in spite she gets up late.
東京ディズニーシー | My Family Trip to Toko Disneysea August 19, 2009
My children were expecting this summer trip so much.
But I became reluctant to go since we were thrown into bankruptcy.
Actually, we were planning to go on a family trip for the cash handout from the government...everything around me has changed since June, I felt that my family had been broken into pieces mentally.
I was persuaded by other family members never to give up the family trip to Tokyo Disney Resort, and went to Tokyo Disneysea on August 15.
It was totally fun, but not from the bottom of my heart.
It was alright because my children enjoyed themselves.
写真代高いっ!! | Film Photos Are Costly!! August 16, 2009
I had my pictures that I took at all Japan baton competition developed two weeks ago, and got them at my favorite photo shop today.
They were 78 newly developed photos and about 50 reprinted ones and cost about 4700 yen!!!
I've never seen such a high price for developing photos...
I'll use my film camera less for film developing fees are expensive, but never stop using it.
I believe film photos are more lively and beautiful, especially for wide format printing.
ビーズ熱が・・・ | Beading with My Younger Daughter July 28, 2009
Recently I make beaded dolls with my younger daughter.
She needs them for her friends' birthday presents and last week she asked me to teach beading.
She and I have made four kinds of dolls each so far.
She is having her friends' birthday party tomorrow so we've been deeply involved in beading.
She will barely make it...
外付けHDD壊れた??| My External Hard Drive Isn't Accepted? July 16, 2009
Early this morning, I was updating my podcast subscription via iTunes and found something wrong with my external hard drive.
I couldn't download any episodes
It's broken????
---I worried, and tried formatting it and restored drivers from the manufacturer's website.
If this doesn't work, I must buy a new one.
There's no problem for me to buy a new one; for current external hard drives have larger storage capacity at the same price as I got my 320GB hard drive two years ago.
But this time I want to wait and save money if it's not completely broken.
I struggled with my hard drive for about two or three hours......and......
it accepted files again, not only documents but also photos and musics!!! I tried copying one of my music files to the hard drive and see it was played normally.
I'm renewing my web site now, and remember I have an online link list abandoned for two years.
I tried accessing the maintainance page and found my account still available.
I'm sooooo delighted to see my link list again and enjoyed editing it.
It is used in the anime "K-On(けいおん!)" brought at midnight in Kanto area.
Yesterday evening I downloaded it from ITMS for them and searched the lyric, my daughers played it and sang along with the clip so many times.
My younger daughter murmured "I'm just like the heroine in the lyric".
I think it's all right if she doesn't do as well as her grandparents; as long as she faces the fact and keep going forward.
Her life is hers.
チマい作業・・・| Refreshing My iTunes Playlists October 30, 2008
My laptop is broken and now under repair, so I use a desktop my husband assembled about six years ago.
It's the host computer in my house.
I decided to keep my music library in it for a while, I launched iTunes and when I connected my iPod...
My suspended CNN podcasts are updated!!!!
What was wrong with my laptop???
Anyway I'm happy to enjoy CNN's podcasts again....
Now I'm using my iTunes on my husband's desktop until my laptop will have been fixed, I need to copy my favorite music files, so that I can save my favorite music.
But that's not easier than I expected!!
I had to add my old music file folders one by one manually....
I understand there are some people who stopped using iPod and get other MP3 players instead...
生身のペットと仮想ペット | Real Pets & Digital Pets June 12, 2008
I have enjoyed aquarium for six years.
Now I have some tropical fish and shrimps.
They heal me and cheer me up a lot, despite I'm too busy to take good care of them sometimes.
When keeping tropical fish, we should know that they need less hot water than we imagine.
They can't live in hot water around 30°C in summer in Japan, comparing that goldfish can survive in 30°C water.
So tropical fish keepers have to cool their fish tanks with fans or set their tanks in air-conditioned rooms.
I also have some digital pets for fun, which I enjoy on my blogs.
Some of my online friends have the same kinds of pets as mine, it's fun to find that my friends resister the same digital pet providers as me.
My two daughters have their digiral pets too, but I doubt that my elder daughter's enthusiasm for digital pets is acceptable.
She logs onto her digital pet providers' web pages every day, this is not that peculiar a thing itself.
What vexes me is her attitude toward her digital pets; she never forgets logging onto her digital creatures EVEN when she is absent from school!!!
Now she is out for school trip to Hokkaido, but she was so worried if her pets might have been dead while she was in Hokkaido.
She even resisted joining school trip maybe just for taking care of her pets every day.
I had to promise that I would take care of her pets during her absence.
That feels a kind of peculiar!!!
It's harder than I expected logging onto digital pets' web sites every day, for every one of us has such hectic days that we don't have time to boost our PCs.
Still she asked me to do that.
It seems to me that digital pets and real pets are the same living creatues for her.
The day before yesterday, I logged onto only "Livly Island".
Yesterday I didn't use a PC. I updated some of my blogs with my cell phone though.
So.........
I broke my promise to logged onto "Meromero Park" every day!!!!!!!
Even though it's not a kind of promise I have to keep, I'm so scared.......
I have broken her dream.......
I'm sooooooooooooooo sorry, if you never forgive me, I'll say it many times.
But.....remember:
Live your life in the real world!!!
Digital pets like livlies and meromeros live in a parallel world, your "happy times" with games, mangas, digital pets etc. are going by in a parallel world where only a few people believe in.
In a parallel world on the net, you are mere a piece of data.
In the real world, you are the one full of possibility.
Are you still satisfied with ending up your life just as a piece of data?
携帯写真を持ち歩く | Updating Photos from Your Cell Phone May 19, 2008
I'm not at home but at an Internet cafe in Mito.
Today, I brought a USB cable with me, which is for connecting an au cell phone and a PC.
I successfully made a removable disk drive in a public PC, so I can upload and edit my photos in my cell phone anywhere! ---if I have my cell phone and the cable.
I try uploading one...
But not all the pictures in my cell phone are available on PC even connected to a PC with the cable.
I have to store the pictures I want to use on PC to a micro SD card!!
I still have a lot to learn for enjoying digital photos...
My three favorite things are foreign languages (esp. English), PC, and aquarium.
They are my mother's loathsome things, too...
What a pity!!!
Since the day my mother scolded me practicing English airing the laundry, I tend to hide from her before starting my English practices of the day.
Of course there are days I can't find any chance to be alone, when I miss them virtually.
Fish tanks heal me a lot when I feel sad, so I've come to spend more time in front of them these days.
Recently I even feel at ease when I'm writing blog entries about aquarium only in Japanese, that makes some of my English-learning friends boring.
I'm really sorry for them, so I try to enjoy pet fish also in English, which is full of aquarium jargon.
Pet shrimps are becoming more and more attractive to me; I must learn English about keeping them. This site is fun and useful!
水と緑の空間を英語でも語れたらなあ・・・ | English for Aquarium February 11, 2008
When I clean my fish tanks and trim aquatic plants, I subconsciously wonder how do I say these activities in English.
I also wonder what I shall introduce my fishes in the tank in Englsih too.
But last night, I found a wonderful site about aquarium!! .
It's very useful, since it also provide us lots of information about aquatic plants.
I see some plants are used in tropical fish tanks differently from Japanese way, which makes me exciting somehow.
I tried playing "The Twelve Days of Christmas" by the recorder.
I felt it much longer than I simply listen to.
From the sixth chorus I became uncertain if I played right.
I thought it too difficult to play the full song, so I decided to recorded my performance little by little, three times in all and edit them later.
Editing was as hard as playing, or rather tougher because I needed to sing this song for checking if I played correctly.
The tune called "Hare-te Hallelujah(晴れてハレルヤ)" has been ringing in my mind since this Wednesday.
It's in an album my elder daughter bought online via ITMS, which contains songs quite new to me.
I could recognize two songs in it at first, and "Hare-te Hallelujah" was one of them.
I recalled that I had a cheap cassette tape containing cute songs from various animes released about ten years ago.
Either my father or I used to play it when we took my children to somewhere by car when thery were very little.
Not only its rhythm but also its lyrics of that song brightened me enough, even though I hardly watched the anime series "Mahoujin Guruguru (魔法陣グルグル)" which featured this song.
Now, this tune has got my elder daughter's heart.
Just check it out, it will make you real encouraging!!
I have a harbot and a livly on my blogs.
I firstly knew them in 2003 and had my first one in 2004 on my web site.
It was not easy to keep digital pets in good shape at that time, we had to "feed" them by updating web pages where they inhabited.
Since 2005, if my memory is correct, Harbot (as a digital creature program) became available on
blogs, and Livly followed after it.
Keeping harbots has become easier by setting it on blogs, but we still must log onto Livly Island to take care of our loved ones. That's a little inconvenient for me...
My daughters are really into Livly now, especially my elder daughter struggles to enjoy herself with her buddy.
The day before yesterday, I suspended the use of the internet in the evening time saying "Pleasure after work!! You do your homework first."
On that day she persistently refused to study, but she admitted her negligence, and began her study little by little, .for the sake of her livly...
I love chick dolls, pictures and drawings.
I'm a kind of a chick fan.
Chicks always make me smile!!!
I love hens too; they look very kind and grateful, even maternal.
Roosters are cool and brave to me, I love brown roosters, which look strong.
I think it's chicks that is very popular for web graphics.
We find much more chick dolls in store than hen dolls.
And we rarely see rooster dolls, don't we?
To tell the truth, I'm not satisfied with this situation.
However merrily l behave, I'm very anxious about my children, especially my daughters' homework.
But it seems they study less hard the more strictly I tell them to do their homework.
So I try to have happy times reading books and having talks with my children, doing housework hard instead of scolding them even they are being lazy with no study.
I sometimes ask them "How is your study going?", and they often say,
"I know I should do it, BUT..."
I answer "No buts, just do it!!"
After my reply, my dauthers react differently.
My elder daugher says,
"Yes, after finishing my online "work"!!"
She spends most of her pastime working on her web site these days.
My younger daughter says,
"I'm doing, but permit me not to study before my events."
She is having a very busy time for both brass band and the baton practice.
I was a little shocked at first when my daughters started playing "Keitai Tamagotch" again this week.
It's so out-of-date that I was planning to recycle this 2004 model games.
They had stopped playing them until last week...
"I have played several kinds of Tamagotch games so far, and found keitai Tamagotch the most exciting," said my elder daughter.
"I love keitai Tamagoch because I can see some cute, funny ancient Tamagoches," said my younger daughter.
I've had to take care of their Tamagotches during their school time, that is a little silly to me.
But I decided to take care of them, they are "alive" even if they are not real creatures.
My elder daughter opened the door of my gardening with two young silverberry trees.
Silverberry is quite a new plant to me, but its fruits are edible.
I read on Wikipedia that we Japanese used to pick silverberries in the woods around 50 years ago, and it was popular among senior citizens recalling their good-old childhood.
It seems easy for rookie gardeners to grow.
This week is going to be extremely busy...
Yesterday, I took my elder daughter to the ear doctor and went to the dentist with younger daughter after that.
My elder daughter was so tired that she felt asleep in kotatsu before 8 p.m.
Today I'm having a presentation rehearsal for the awarding of Ibaraki regional newspaper contest.
And tomorrow...I attend the reading performance for 6th graders (as a special activity) and...oh, how many businesses in all do I have this week?
I must go to a haircut and buy a new suit, too!!
Last month, I failed to order my elder daughter's junior high school uniform and made her real angry and rebellious.
So I really want to do the things above before this Saturday, also as a preparation for my elder daughter's graduation celemony.
I'm....so....in a rush....every day...
